Regular Events

Sandhurst Village Hall is suitable for a wide range of uses.

Hall hire alone is not sufficient to cover the running costs, so the committee is reliant on fundraising events to fill the gap.  The following events are organised by the committee or other villagers for the benefit of the hall.

Some other ideas on suitable uses for the hall are provided at the bottom of this page.

Coffee Mornings

Ladies from the village hold a coffee morning at 10 a.m. on the second Monday of each month.   This is a chance to meet others over a cup of tea or coffee, all are welcome.

Sandhurst Village Summer Fête

The annual Sandhurst Village Summer Fête takes place on August Bank Holiday Monday.  This traditional family event is organised by the Village Hall committee. Refreshments are available in the Village Hall, with the main event taking place in the adjacent Kingsholm cricket ground.   Proceeds from the fête go towards the maintenance of the hall.

Harvest Supper

The annual Harvest Supper takes place in the village hall, usually around the beginning of October. Responsibility for this event alternates between the Village Hall and the Church.  Any proceeds go to the organisation responsible for the event that year.

Entertainment

We invite profession performers to entertain us for an evening in the Hall – plays, dancing, storytelling and music to suit all tastes. Literally something for everybody.  This has frequently been arranged through Air in G (Arts in Rural Gloucestershire), who through their Arts Council subsidies enable us to hire professional performers at minimal financial risk to ourselves.

Ladies pamper night

Ladies Pamper Night – we hold regular pamper evenings for ladies to try pampering treats, have a glass of wine and some nibbles, shop for lovely things and meet with friends.

Christmas Fayre

The annual Christmas Fayre takes place in the village hall. Responsibility for this event alternates between the Village Hall and the Church.  Any proceeds go to the organisation responsible for the event that year.
